Edwin married Beatrice in 1921 in Kent

They moved to Teddington, Middlesex, and had three children:

Joy, John and Rita.

Edwin was known as Pappie (pronounced Par-pee) to the family. He was a member of the Bufalloes.

Many of the family lived and grew up in 154 Church Road, Teddington, known to all just as One-Five-Four.

Edwin died on Christmas Eve, 1971, of Bronchopneumonia
